Having worked in the field of web design and multimedia for the past nine years, I have extensive knowledge of all aspects of the development and maintenance of web sites.

I am flexible and creative in my approach in my work not least thanks to my artistic background.

The main duties I perform at present is the design and building of, primarily web based, solutions for a variety of internal and external clients. I work at all points of the cycle of a project, from brief writing to final upload.

Leading a small team of developers I work both as part of the team or on my own depending on the circumstances, while working on several projects concurrently, I have learnt to effectively prioritise my work. Also, dealing with a variety of clients as well as my team, I have gained valuable communication skills.

Initially employed as a trainee, my role developed to encompass the entire production process from the scoping, conceptualising and planning, through the design and construction, to the deliverable product. This entailed working with and guiding the technical authors or the copy editor assembling, designing and building the project.

Qualifications and Education

I graduated with a Diploma in Fine Art from Byam Shaw School of Fine Art with a Merit in 1993, after completing my BTEC General Art and Design from Falmouth School of Art and Design, also with a Merit.

Since graduating, I’ve attended several short courses in amongst others Macromedia Director, Adobe Premier and Quark Xpress.
